On The Road Again

As of right now, I am rolling on my bus toward Kentucky for a gig. I am watching my little boy pretend he's driving a tractor and my band and I are joking with each other. I have been very busy here lately. I am doing 3 to 4 shows a week sometimes 5. It is so much fun to play for my fans! Each show I am learning more and more.
I just played the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night. My little boy and my husband drove up to see me. I was so proud for them to see me play there again. It is always such an honor. I got to do 3 songs. Monday I did a taping for GAC. It was a lot of fun. You'll start seeing it on air in September.
I am truly getting to live a dream. I love to tour but I am looking forward to getting back home. Maybe grill something, get on the river for a day and just turn off the cell phone and relax. That'll be nice. Thanks for checking in with me!!!

Takin off this Pain is the background of my life. I left my husband of 17 years last summer and this was part of our story. He is an alcoholic and that was not addressed but I wanted you, Ashton, to know that your song gave me strength! It touched my life and made a difference. When you are around Cincinnati or the Tampa area (as we are hoping to move there) I would love to meet you and just say thank you. teresa

This is my summer to embrace. I have to soak up every moment I have left with my husband and enjoy the sights and smells of South Carolina, because soon I will be off to Iraq. Your voice, singing "Sounds so Good" makes my heart flutter, and I crank it all the way up in the car, I run to it with my IPOD and I blast it while I am cooking dinner at home...These are the days, and this is the song I will be playing over and over again in my head while I am in Iraq....This is my summer 2008 theme song. Thank you Ashton for coming out with such an extraordinary song. I am your #1 fan, and would be so honored to meet you and maybe do a duet with you while we chill out on lawn chairs, drink beers and cook porterhouse steaks....man am I going to miss those....MWAH!

I'm so happy for you. You must be very busy these days. It must be tough sometimes being on tour and away from family and friends. Your hard work and devotion is greatly appreciated and shows in your music. Last nights show at the Lake County Fair (IL) was awesome! What made it even better is that I was fortunate enough to be front row!

Congratulations on all the great things that are happening to you. I know it must be special to share all these great experiences with your husbad and son. I know my husband and kids are my life! Sounds like you are having a great time! I am so excited and can not wait to see the Oprey in September. I am so excited you are coming to Jacksonville in November. Who is opening for you that night? My dad and I look forward to seeing you LIVE! I love your album so much, your voice is amazing!. Almost know all the words, and just bought last week....good luck and love and support from Palm Coast, Florida! You and the Old Crow Medicine Show would be an awesome show too!
